Greetings Gary, thankyou for your reply. While we don’t know you personally, we are thankful for FR as a supporting home church. The Dowdeswell’s who are also our friends, are awesome at being the link between us and FR. Hopefully in about a year we can meet. Blessings….

Hi Dick, yes I clearly remember meeting with you as well, what is less clear is if you are Matthew’s dad or uncle – aanyway, please pass on my hello to him!
I too would like to visit with the mennonite colonies in Chetumal, maybe this november as I have a week-long workshop in the Yucatan. My experience in Chihuahua was very eye-opening, the kind of thing we just never got as kids or youth in our own home region of the sask valley. Always enjoy your depth and sharing. I think there is a difference between traditions and culture. I imagine that God only sees and desires diversity. So when we focus on the heart of traditions, culture melts away and love remains. For me that is the path forward.

I am Dick Braun from Osler SK and had a meeting with you at MCC in Saskatoon just before you left for Mexico. I too know Cornilio Schmidt he and his family are great host people. I hope that you get to go to the mennos that live south by Chutemal. You would find their work interesting. I really like your take on the Old Colony people.

Hey Lucas, its so good to hear from you. I think no two rides with MCC are ever alike, you guys had an interesting one.
